What is a Russian manicure?
A Russian manicure is a dry manicure built around precise cuticle work. There's no water soak — instead, your nail tech uses an electric file with fine diamond bits to gently lift and remove the non-living tissue around the cuticle, leaving a clean, smooth nail fold.
Because the cuticle area is so clean, gel can be applied very close to the cuticle line. We then build structure with hard (builder) gel — shaping an apex that strengthens the natural nail — and finish with the gel color of your choice and a top coat.
The difference from a standard salon manicure shows as it grows out: no soak to swell the nail before gel goes on, no visible gap at the cuticle, and a structured set that stays clean and polished for 4+ weeks instead of a couple of weeks.

How long does a Russian manicure last?
A Hard Gel Overlay is built for a full 4+ week cycle — daily cuticle oil and gloves for cleaning help it get there, and we recommend a fill or rebalance around the four-week mark. Gel Polish is lighter and wears about 10–14 days.
Is it safe for natural nails?
Yes. The e-file only removes non-living tissue around the cuticle, and the hard gel overlay strengthens your natural nail rather than replacing it. Every tool goes through medical-grade sterilization, and if anything lifts or chips within 7 days, we'll repair it — on us.
How long does the appointment take?
Plan on about 105 minutes for a Hard Gel Overlay and about 75 minutes for Gel Polish. If you're wearing gel or extensions now, add a Gel Removal when you book so there's time to take it off properly.
