The Technique

What is a Russian pedicure?

A Russian pedicure — what we call a dry e-file pedicure — is a waterless pedicure focused on clinical hygiene and precision detail. Instead of soaking your feet in a shared water basin or plastic-lined bowl, your nail tech uses fine diamond e-file bits and single-use smoothing discs on dry skin.

Working dry lets your tech distinguish non-living cuticle and callus buildup from healthy skin, leaving the nail fold clean and heels genuinely smooth without harsh blades or over-filing. Every metal instrument goes through medical-grade sterilization between clients.

Because the nail plate never swells from soaking in water before polish is applied, gel adheres cleanly right to the cuticle line — and every visit finishes with a relaxing scrub, nourishing oil, and a warm towel.

What clients say

“My first time getting an e-file service pedi and I don't think I can go back to a regular spa pedicure anymore. Even when places put the plastic lining in a slimy bowl I still get the ick feeling. Relaxing scrub and hot towel at the end was 10/10. Very cute boutique style salon”

“Really amazing manicure. The best I’ve had in years. Highly recommend! Kristina did a perfect manicure and Aya did an amazing pedicure! I’d never had a dry pedicure before but it was amazing and my feet feel so smooth and soft.”

Russian pedicure FAQ

Why is a Russian pedicure done dry (without a foot bath)?

Skipping the shared water basin eliminates the #1 cross-contamination risk in traditional salons and prevents the nail plate from swelling with water before gel is applied. Working dry lets your tech use fine diamond e-file bits and single-use smoothing discs with clinical precision, then finish with a relaxing scrub and hot towel.

How long does a Russian pedicure last?

A Dry E-file Gel Polish pedicure wears longest, up to 4 weeks. Regular Polish lasts up to 2 weeks. And if anything lifts or chips within 7 days of your visit, we'll repair it — on us.

How long does the appointment take?

Plan on about 1 hour 45 minutes for Gel Polish, 75 minutes for Regular Polish, and 45+ minutes for No Polish. If you're currently wearing gel on your toes, add a Gel Removal — Feet when you book so there's time to remove it gently.
